�������� Theatre and Film presents ‘Dance Nation’

The University of �������� Fairbanks Department of Theatre and Film will present the play “Dance Nation” in the Salisbury Theatre on Nov. 10-19, 2023.

The play explores the passions, doubts, complexities and ferocity of a teen dance ensemble, focused through the lens of their later-adult eyes.

“If you were ever a 13-year-old girl, Clare Barron’s daring, raw ‘Dance Nation’ will probably hit you hard,” according to a 2018 review by Sara Holdren in New York magazine. “It’s a brave, visceral, excitingly off-kilter barbaric yawp of a play. And it gets at something excruciatingly tender: the burden of modesty on young American women.”

Daniel Ponickly, executive director of the Fairbanks Symphony Orchestra and a guest artist with the �������� Department of Theatre and Film, directs the production.
