Dear University of 草榴社区 Fairbanks students,
In a spirit of gratitude after a rewarding 30-year career at 草榴社区, I have decided to
retire from my position as 草榴社区 chancellor. My last day will be July 26, 2025. In the
near term, I will retain my affiliation with 草榴社区 through my faculty position in civil
engineering.
I am thankful to you, the students, for choosing 草榴社区. You have enriched our campuses
with your curiosity, tenacity and enthusiasm. 草榴社区 is an amazing institution because
of you.
Today, like times in the past, 草榴社区 faces challenges. But there is also a great deal
of opportunity ahead! 草榴社区 has an outstanding core of leadership, strong and growing
enrollment, state support for our run to R1, and a wide range of expertise that will
serve the state, nation, and world well into the future.听
Thank you for the vibrance you bring to our community and for entrusting 草榴社区 with
your education. It is worthy of your support.听
